This year's Ingenia Holiday Parks Beach to Bush Program will reach 11,000 students across a record 101 schools. New Boat Series to Shake Up Surf SportsA supercharged surfboat series is set to hit the Surf Sports calendar in 2024 – the latest move by Surf Life Saving NSW to streamline representative pathways for athletes of all disciplines across the state. The establishment of the Surfboat Interseries, set for a shotgun start in April next year, will become the latest sport to align itself under a regionalised team representative model following the Super Surf Teams League (SSTL), with the best crews from within the five surfboat series in NSW to compete in a high-octane Championship event. AnnouncementsVolunteer Patrol Support ProgramSLSNSW are again asking for expressions of interest from members wishing to support smaller clubs as visiting patrolling members over the summer and Christmas holiday period. This is a great opportunity to utilise your lifesaving skills at another beach location, and at the same time visit some amazing coastal destinations. Webinar: Child Safe AwarenessOne of the ways we can support the safety of children and young people in SLS is by equipping ourselves with the knowledge, skills and awareness to keep children safe. This 30-minute Child Safe Awareness webinar hosted by Morgan Lander, an expert in the field, will provide you with an introduction to child safety in SLS, including the types and signs of abuse, creating a safe environment and when and how to report. This program assists NSW Surf Life Saving clubs to develop facilities that will enable increased participation, increased use of facilities by other community groups and/or the public, improved safety and improved financial and/or sustainability. NSW Government Crown Reserves Improvement Fund Program 2023-24The NSW Gov Crown Reserves Improvement Fund Program 2023-24 is now open, closing 17 November 2023. This program provides financial support for the maintenance, improvement and development of Crown reserves. Applications close tomorrow.
