Dear friend,
This summer, we're coming together with our community to take action. USDA cuts are threatening over 150,000 pounds of Lift UP's fresh, nourishing food that our neighbors rely on — and we can't let that go unanswered.
In response, we're offering two simple ways you can help fill the gap: Whether you're planting a garden, tending a fruit tree, or receiving a CSA share, pledge your harvest now to donate extra produce this season. Your contribution directly supports these local organizations also impacted by USDA cuts: William Temple House • Trinity Episcopal Church • PSU Student Pantry • OHSU Student Pantry • Urban Gleaners • Community for Positive Aging • St. Johns Food Share Not sure what you'll grow or how much you'll have? That's okay! Early pledges help us plan ahead and get food where it's needed most. Have a fruit tree? Lift UP is working hard to fill the gap with fresh food — but we need your help to do it. By becoming a monthly donor to Lift UP, you ensure consistent access to essentials like produce, dairy, and eggs all year long. Just $35/month = a full grocery bag of fresh food for a neighbor, every month. With 100 monthly donors, we can replace a quarter of the USDA shortfall. Plant your monthly seed today! Let's grow something great— together.
Grateful for your consideration,
Stephanie Barr, Executive Director P.S. Don't have a garden? Share this with someone who does — your neighbor's backyard could help fill a neighbor's fridge. Food brings us together. |
