Second call for official nominations are now open, closing 11pm this Sunday, 31 January.

We are pleased to advise that we can now confirm that all entry nominations received will be accepted as an entry providing they meet all rules outlined in the Entry Circular.

Team App will again be used as a communications tool for these Championships.

To register for these event updates please follow the below instructions:

1. Download the “Team App” application from the App Store or Google Play
2. Log in / Sign up to receive live event notifications
3. Once logged in search “2021 NSW State Championships”
4. Click the “Become a member of this Team App” icon at the top of the screen then select the appropriate groups you wish to receive notifications from. 

By joining the event and turning on your mobile app notifications, you will receive notifications and email updates as they are posted, ensuring you never miss any important information.

The Frequently Asked Questions document has also been updated and is available on the event page to assist with any queries.

Monthly Coach Workshops

Darren Peters will be presenting on Sprint Mechanics and Speed Development tomorrow, 28 January.

Darren is a former World, Aussie and State Champion sprinter and has an extensive background in coaching and sports science, coaching athletes to World and Aussie titles in sprint and flags.

Darren is the National Coaching director for SLSA and former CEO of Rowing Australia and the Australian Paralympic Committee. Darren’s presentation will provide great insight for not only beach coaches/athletes but for anyone looking to increase their speed and efficiency on the sand. We all know how often races end with a sprint up the beach!

SLSA Bulletin – Changes to IRB Competition Rules

SLSA have released a new bulletin which details changes to the IRB Competition Rules contained in Section 3 of the current 36th Edition Surf Sports Manual (SSM). The new rules take immediate effect.

The Aussies 2021 - Registrations Now Open!

The 2021 Australian Surf Life Saving Championships will be hosted by Maroochydore SLSC, Alexandra Headland SLSC and Mooloolaba SLSC from 16 April to 24 April 2021.

Entries for the 2021 Australian Surf Life Saving Championships are now open. Early Bird Entries will close on 28 February, before Normal Entries close on 29 March.

The revised Series dates are as follows:

• Round 3 – 14 February – Kingscliff – Channel 9GO! 12PM-2PM AEDT
• Round 4 – 26 February – Kingscliff – Channel 9GO! 12PM-2PM AEDT
• Round 5 – 27 February – Kingscliff – Channel 9 12PM-2PM AEDT
• Round 6 – 28 February – Kingscliff – Channel 9 12PM-2PM AEDT
