ORCID stands for Open Researcher and Contributor ID and is a persistent digital identifier that distinguishes you from other researchers and supports automated linkages between you and your professional activities. ORCID addresses common issues for researchers such as disambiguation, credit and attribution, management of privacy and identity, reduction of administrative burden, etc. Our Library has made various investments in both time and money over the years to ORCID; from teaching students, faculty, and staff about the benefits of ORCID to recently launching an ORCID Support Contest. More information about ORCID and how to sign up for a profile can be found on the Library's ORCID webpage. Please never hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. You can find me at crg@ualberta.ca . Business PhD Research Conference 2022 On November 18, 2022, our School's Annual PhD Research Conference was held in various rooms on the 4th floor of the Business Building. PhD students and faculty engaged in research discussions throughout the day. Twenty-nine students shared their research with posters and ten students gave Three Minute Thesis (3MT)-style presentations of their research projects. Four students gave 15-minute oral presentations and answered questions from the audience. Faculty members were engaged in lunch sessions by specialization, and joined in the discussions during the posters and presentations. The student-led organizing committee used innovative QR codes to gather feedback on all the presentations.
