Strata Legislation Amendment Bill 2023 introduced into Parliament

The Strata Legislation Amendment Bill 2023 was introduced into Parliament on 10 October 2023, marking the first phase of reforms that will give immediate benefits to people living in strata. The Bill implements 31 recommendations from the 2021 Report on the statutory review of the strata laws, addressing the strata renewal process, by-laws concerning pets and assistance animals, strata and association committees and overall governance. National consultation – enduring powers of attorney laws

The Commonwealth Attorney-General’s Department released a Consultation Paper seeking feedback on potential reform proposals for achieving greater consistency in enduring powers of attorney laws.
