Attn Educators! Citizen University Announces Fellowship: "Citizen Redefined" Citizen University is partnering with ACT to bring Citizen Redefined - a civic and ethical formation curriculum and educator training program - to teaching artists in Seattle this fall! This is a free professional development opportunity that speaks to the nuanced work that educators are doing in their various spheres. Citizen Redefined works in two stages: First, immersive training for a cohort of adult educators who are passionate about helping young people build their faith in democracy while developing the values and skills to thoughtfully participate in civic life. The Citizen University team will share concepts and practices, and create space for educators to connect in an environment designed to support and nurture their personal growth as well as professional learning. During a culminating “Civic Confirmation” rite-of-passage, ceremony participants will commit to a redefined vision of their civic identity.
