Senior School NoticesTERM 3 WEEK 5Dear valued member of the PLC community, Over the Mid-term Break, a dedicated group of Year 11 students and staff from PLC and Scotch College embarked on the 50-Mile Walk. This is the equivalent of walking just over 80kms in a single day! The mental and physical resilience that the participants showed was truly admirable and all involved should be proud of their efforts. Rebecca Watts Important InformationFree Dress Day TomorrowTomorrow we celebrate Book Week and Wear It Purple Day with a Free Dress Day. Students are encouraged to dress as their favourite storybook character and wear a splash of purple or rainbow to show their support for the LGBTQ+ community. We ask that students consider their footwear carefully, as closed-in shoes will be required for various practical subjects for safety. Senior School AssemblyNext Friday 2 September, we begin the day with a Senior School Assembly. During this assembly that we will be announcing our Stage 3 leadership positions. We have had many applicants for the roles and a big pool of talent within the cohort. Parents are welcome to attend this announcement. The assembly begins at 8.55 am in the Hugh Baird Sports Centre. Rapid Antigen Test DistributionTwenty free RATs will be available for students next week from the Uniform Shop. It is preferable that parents collect them, however, if required, your daughter is able to collect them herself. The RATs for boarders will be taken to our Health Centre and distributed as necessary. Christmas Cake Bakers NeededThe PLC Open Garden Day Committee is seeking some additional volunteers to bake PLC Christmas Cakes over the school holidays for Open Garden Day.
