Dear Residents,
See you this Saturday at Moon Festival! We’ve been busy putting the finishing touches on this weekend’s event to make Homebush West come alive with lion dances, delicious food, cultural performances, activities and more. Head to The Crescent outside Flemington Station 1pm – 6pm to share in the fun.
Hudson Park works are now well underway as part of the Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants (WSIG) projects. The works include upgrading the drainage and lighting of the oval, renovating the pavilion with added viewing spaces, adding more parking, pathways and much more! There are more projects unfolding across the LGA – visit the Current Projects page on our website for more info.
The Strathfield Town Centre Master Plan is now
available for feedback. This is a significant project that has the potential to change how the Town Centre functions, and we want to hear from residents, locals and visitors. Visit the Have Your Say webpage to be part of the Bigger, Bolder, Better future of Strathfield.

COMMUNITY UPDATE
🎉 Strathfield receives $500,000 to explore event-ready public spaces 🎉
Strathfield Council is happy to share it has received $500,000 through the NSW Government’s Permit/Plug/Play Program, led by Transport for NSW, to help make it easier to plan and deliver street-based events and activations!
The project will explore opportunities at selected locations in the Strathfield LGA, including Strathfield Square and Homebush West, to support community events, cultural activities, pop-ups, markets and local activations.
The funding will help Council investigate:
⚡ Event-ready infrastructure such as lighting and flexible street furniture
🚧 Safety and access improvements to support temporary street activations
📋 Simpler event planning, permits and approval processes
🎪 Tools and templates to support community groups, businesses and event organisers
Community consultation is now open, giving residents, local businesses and event organisers the opportunity to share what types of events they would like to see and what would make these spaces easier to use.
The project is proudly funded by the NSW Government’s Permit/Plug/Play Program, led by Transport for NSW.
