Bait your hooks, the Pest Fishing Cup is just around the corner!

Join us on Sunday 24 November at JJ Smith Park for a day on the water at the annual Logan Pest Fishing Cup. This community competition helps improve the health of our local waterways by removing invasive pest fish. Great prizes are on offer for those who catch fish and even those who don’t, so dust off the rods and bring along the whole family!

Pest fish, such as carp and tilapia, have major impacts on waterways and the native species that live in them. These fish impact native species through predation, compete for resources and disrupt freshwater environments.
