James Anthony Dunstan (Fr 1966)The Principal, Council and St Andrew’s College community honour the life of James (Jim) Anthony Dunstan (Fr 1966) who passed away on 13th March 2021. Jim resided at St Andrew's College from 1966-1970 whilst studying law at the University of Sydney. During his time at College he was a member of the Rawson Soccer Team and in 1970 became a Year Representative on the House Committee. He was not the only Dunstan to attend St Andrew's College, with his brother Dr Richard (Rick) Dunstan attending in 1971 and his daughter Katie attending in 2003. Jim continued to be involved with the College throughout his life and came back for various events; in particular the Father's Day Dinners which he enjoyed attending with Katie in the early 2000's. Jim had a long successful career as a lawyer working in London, Singapore, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and Sydney. He was a partner at Allens Linklaters (formerly Allens Arthur Robinson) for over 40 years. He was married to Jane Dunstan for 47 years and will be dearly missed. Katie has provided us with the below photo of her father at College. It is believed to be a 'muck up' photo that was taken after the official year group photo in third year. Jim is pictured wearing his formal dinner suit in the middle of the back row. The Dunstan family are held strongly in our thoughts and our dearest sympathy is extended to all who knew him. |
