100% Online plan lodgment took effect on 1 July

On 1 July 2025, changes were made to the Lodgment Rules to require all deposited plans and strata plans to be lodged electronically through the NSW LRS Connect Portal. If you have a plan that requires lodgment, please speak to your registered surveyor, who will be able to lodge the plan through NSW LRS Connect on your behalf.

The requirement to lodge all plans through the NSW LRS Connect Portal will deliver significant benefits to industry, including a secure online workspace and a more streamlined plan registration process.

This is a major step in the Digital Survey Plan Reform, helping deliver faster processing times, fewer errors, and a more accurate and accessible cadastral system.

Guidance Notes for Subscribers of PEXA & Sympli

The current version of the NSW Participation Rules for Electronic Conveyancing came into effect on 28 March 2024.

The NSW Office of the Registrar General wishes to remind Subscribers of PEXA and Sympli of the Model Participation Rules Guidance Notes published on the ARNECC website.

These Guidance Notes assist Subscribers to understand what is expected of them in complying with the Participation Rules for Electronic Conveyancing. For example, Guidance Note #4 – Right to Deal explains what right to deal is, why and when verification of right to deal is required, and how to verify right to deal.

Keep your Subscriber details up to date on PEXA & Sympli

If you are a PEXA or Sympli Subscriber, please ensure your Subscriber Details, including any preferred email addresses for Land Registry correspondence, are kept up to date. This obligation on Subscribers to keep its details up to date can be found at Rule 6.2 in the NSW Participation Rules for Electronic Conveyancing.

It is particularly important for Subscriber Managers/Administrators to review and update contact details after a change in staff or change in email address. If you are unsure of how to update your details, please contact PEXA or Sympli.
