Community Connection Information Session

In preparation for the holiday season, join Karakan as they aim to raise community awareness and build stronger community connections. Register for this session to learn about local services related to:

• mental health and wellbeing,
• food relief,
• youth and family support,
• cultural activities,
• employment,
• education,
• and financial assistance.

Attendees will hear from local service providers, participate in a Q&A session, and enjoy a light lunch. Don't miss this chance to connect and get informed!

Additional Fitness Activities for Active Women! 🎣⛳🛶

We are thrilled to announce that a range of FREE fitness and recreation activities for women aged 45 years and over has been added to the 2024/25 Active & Healthy program. These exciting new activities include fishing, kayaking, golf, aqua aerobics, and exercise physiology classes.

Foot Care & Christmas Morning Tea

Join Amputees Queensland and Judi from Solemate Podiatry for helpful information on foot care and the importance to your health, ways to manage your feet at home and the benefits of early podiatry intervention.

Stay and join them for a lovely FREE morning tea and help develop their Healthy Ageing Hub sessions for 2025. All are welcome!

2024 Christmas Concert Invitation -Logan Dementia Choir 🎙️

Celebrate a great 2024 at Logan Dementia Alliance’s end-of-year celebration, where there will be sing-along Christmas carols, raffle prizes up for grabs and light refreshments.

Stories from the Kitchen EOY Festive Feast

Join us this December for our special end of year festive food community dinner and hear from one of our "Stories from the Kitchen" dinner regulars as they share some of their festive cuisine and share stories from their culture.

Dress up in your best festive cultural outfit and get to meet different community members and enjoy the experience of our fun filled community dinner party!

Volunteer callout! Bravehearts Christmas wrapping station 💝

Bravehearts will be hosting a Christmas wrapping station at the Hyperdome Shopping Centre throughout December for three weeks.

They are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help spread festive cheer while raising essential funds to support their important work in preventing and treating child sexual abuse.

Support for Logan's Tertiary Students

The Tertiary Educational Bursary offers financial support for university students in the City of Logan.

Logan City Council and some of the most respected organisations in South East Queensland have combined their resources to provide financial assistance to young people in Logan who wish to undertake tertiary studies.

Students from families whose own financial resources are limited are encouraged to apply. Successful students receive a $5,000 bursary. 

Applications close: 23 December 2024.
