When: Tuesday 10 December, 11am to 1pm Additional Fitness Activities for Active Women! 🎣⛳🛶We are thrilled to announce that a range of FREE fitness and recreation activities for women aged 45 years and over has been added to the 2024/25 Active & Healthy program. These exciting new activities include fishing, kayaking, golf, aqua aerobics, and exercise physiology classes. Funded through the Department of Tourism and Sport’s Active Women and Girls grant program, these initiatives aim to boost sport and recreation participation among women. Bravehearts Christmas wrapping station 💝Bravehearts will be hosting a Christmas wrapping station at the Hyperdome Shopping Centre throughout December for three weeks. They are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help spread festive cheer while raising essential funds to support their important work in preventing and treating child sexual abuse. When: December 3 until December 24 Support for Logan's Tertiary Students The Tertiary Educational Bursary offers financial support for university students in the City of Logan. Logan City Council and some of the most respected organisations in South East Queensland have combined their resources to provide financial assistance to young people in Logan who wish to undertake tertiary studies. Students from families whose own financial resources are limited are encouraged to apply. Successful students receive a $5,000 bursary. Applications close: 23 December 2024. Funding OpportunitiesApplications are now open for the Queensland Gives 2024 - General Fund. The General Fund grant program supports organisational capacity building of mid-tier organisations with projects that strengthen community by focussing on, but not limited to, Youth, Women and Families at Risk. Grants are available up to a maximum of $30,000 per individual grant. Applications close: 13 December 2024 Applications are now open for the 2024/25 Rankin Volunteer Grants. Eligible not-for-profit community organisations can apply for grants between $1,000 and $5,000 to support volunteer activities. Funds can be used for communication equipment, event costs, training, and more. At least 40% of an organisation’s staff must be volunteers. Applications close: 11pm 16 December 2025 Applications are now open for Round 2 of the RACQ Foundation Community Grant Program. Through its Community Grants program, RACQ Foundation gives community groups, charities, sporting clubs and First Nations Councils the opportunity to rebuild after natural disasters and to prepare for the future with resilience-based projects. Applications close: 30 January 2025 Logan City Council Logan City Council acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waterways across the City of Logan.
