Community news

Welcome to the Division 3 monthly newsletter

February 2026

What’s important to you?

As we consider funding allocations for the 2026-2027 budget year, I want to hear directly from you about what matters most to you. Traffic congestion is the issue of most concern right across the city, so it’s a given that I will continue to fight for improvements to the road network both on the local and State-controlled roads.

I’m keen to hear your ideas for local projects and improvements that can be delivered through the Divisional budget (usually around $975,000 per Division). The divisional budget covers community projects and programs, including things like new paths, upgrades to parks and playgrounds (including shade over play equipment), minor roadworks – capital works on Council owned or controlled land and contributions to Clubhouse and amenities upgrades for local clubs. Events on Council owned or controlled land can be funded, as can the expansion of the Active and Healthy program. So, please have a think about your neighbourhood and let me know your views.
