24 Hour Row for Mental Fitness, Supporting Gotcha4Life - Coogee SLSC
Coogee SLSC was one of the many NSW surf clubs that participated in the 2021 24 Hour Row for Mental Fitness, supporting Gotcha4Life. Over 50 Coogee SLSC members participated and raised more than $14,000 that will go towards mental fitness programs that take action to engage, educate and empower local communities to end suicide. Forster SLSC Rebuild Closer to Reality
Acting PM Barnaby Joyce visited the team at Forster SLSC this week to inspect the plans and site of the new surf club. The Federal Government has allocated $3.1M dollars to the project, along with the $3M already committed by the NSW Government to build the state of the art facility.
Mr Joyce was joined by local MP Dr David Gillespie, Forster SLSC President John Quinn, LNC Branch President Brian Wilcox and Assistant Director of Lifesaving Julie Wilcox, Forster SLSC Building committee chairman Ron Hartley and Forster Nippers Coordinator Troy Brookes. The Acting PM said it was great to be able to support worthwhile community projects like this in regional areas and the new club will rejuvenate the Forster Main Beach precinct.
CPR Push-a-thon
Join in the CPR Push-a-thon, between now and November 19. Form a team, sign up, get sponsored and start pushing! Each push raises funds for Heart of the Nation and Restart a Heart Day. How long can your team push for?
There are incredible prizes for the top fundraisers, including an AED (valued at $2695), CPR Training Course for 12 people (valued at $1200) provided by SLSNSW, and discount accommodation vouchers at luxury hotels.

2021 SLSNSW AGM Invitation
SLSNSW President, George Shales OAM, is pleased to invite you to attend the 2021 SLSNSW 2021 AGM at 4pm Friday, 26 Nov. There will be a presentation of the 115th SLSNSW Annual Report and announcement of the newly elected Life Members. Following the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, Life Members are invited to attend the event in person (with proof of double vaccination) at the SLSNSW Office, zoom details are also available for those wishing to attend remotely.
NSW Office of Sport Surf Club Facility Program
The Office of Sport is yet to release the timing of the funding program, however we anticipate the closing date to be well before the Christmas period. We therefore recommend you commence gathering the required attachments, discuss your project with Council and make contact with the Grant Seeking Unit to ensure you are ready to lodge an application within the advertised timeframes.
2022 Lifesaving Development Camp
Applications close today for leadership team members and candidate applications close 15 Nov.
Bate Bay Gold
Entries close Sun 14 Nov for the 2021 Bate Bay Gold. The short course endurance event will be held at Wanda SLSC on Saturday, 20 November.
Super Surf Teams League (SSTL)
Nominations are open for athletes wishing to gain selection in one of the NSW teams.

2021 Bate Bay Gold
Entries are now open with prize money on offer to the top five place getters in the Elite Male and Elite Female categories only. Entries close via SEMS Sunday, 14 November. SLSNSW are also calling for nominations for Officials, including Referee.
Wanda SLSC Tradies 'One Club' Carnival
Wanda SLSC is excited to present its Tradies 'One Club' Carnival to be held on Saturday, 4 December 2021. Entry details will be available soon. Draft timetable is available on our website.
SLSSNB Metro Beach Series
Round 1 of the Metro Beach Series will be held at North Narrabeen Beach on 13 November. Entries are via SEMS and close 7 November. Visit the SLSSNB website for the Carnival Program and more information.

Wauchope-Bonny Hills SLSCs Rainbow Gold Enduro has been rescheduled to Saturday 27 November 2021. Entries have been extended until 10, November. NEW age group added to the Youth Challenge - U14/U15 & U17.
Grants & Fundraising
Grant funding is an ideal way to obtain equipment, infrastructure or program funding for your club. In support of SLSCs in NSW, SLSNSW provides a professional grant service at no fee to NSW SLSCs through the Surf Life Saving Foundation’s Grant Seeking Unit (GSU). The GSU is a national grant research and writing support unit for SLS entities across Australia.
