State Rescue Award for Lower North Coast Lifesavers
A daring rescue off One Mile Beach in Forster in June has been praised by Lower North Coast Director of Lifesaving, Nathan De Rooy due to the high level of inter-agency cooperation between Surf Life Saving and NSW Police. The rescue has received the Surf Life Saving NSW Rescue of the Month award.

SurfGuard SMS Text Messages
A reminder to clubs that the SurfGuard SMS Text messaging service is for time critical messages and NOT for general member communications, updates or reminders. The SLSA IT team has identified a number of clubs disregarding the guidelines displayed when messages are sent. Please contact the SLSA IT helpdesk for any clarification on the SMS messaging service.
Call for Nominations: SLSA Female Mentoring Program
Nominations are now open for mentors and mentees to take part in the new SLSA Female Mentoring Program.
SLSNSW has had over 80 members benefit from this program in the past three seasons and encourages members across NSW to apply.

Grants & Fundraising
Grant funding is an ideal way to obtain equipment, infrastructure or program funding for your club. In support of SLSCs in NSW, SLSNSW provides a professional grant service at no fee to NSW SLSCs through the Surf Life Saving Foundation’s Grant Seeking Unit (GSU). The GSU is a national grant research and writing support unit for SLS entities across Australia.
