The angle-stemmed myrtle (Gossia gonoclada) is a critically endangered tree found only in our region. With just 73 known trees in Logan, Brisbane, and the Gold Coast, every sighting counts!  

We need your help to find any unknown or unrecorded angle-stemmed myrtle plants. Report a sighting and learn more to support the survival and recovery of this rare species.

Grab a fire ant treatment kit this weekend

The Fire Ant Suppression Taskforce are heading out to Bunnings across Logan on Saturday 5 April between 9am - 1pm with free yard treatment kits for every resident.

Treating all properties on the same day delivers a powerful blow to fire ant colonies, limiting their spread, and protecting the community.

Property owners in Logan can take advantage of our Free Trees program. Bring a copy of your current rates notice to one of the collection locations and choose from a wide range of plants. Each financial year you can take 3 plants home for your garden.​
