QLDC Winter Road Report - 20 August 2023
Mōrena Queenstown Lakes,
Welcome to Sunday. Here's what to expect out on the roads this morning:
- Crown Range - it's -4.2°c at the summit. The road is largely dry and grit has been applied where required.
- Cardrona Valley - damp roads with positive temperatures.
- Hāwea and Wānaka - mostly dry roads with positive temperatures.
- Arrowtown/Whakatipu Basin -1°c to 8°c with damp roads. ]
- Queenstown Hill and Fernhill - winter conditions
- Glenorchy - warm road temperatures.
So I guess in a nutshell it's reasonably warm out there for a winters morning but as we always say - things could change so drive to the conditions in front of you and be prepared! Crews are patrolling the Crown Range, Whakatipu Basin, Queenstown Hill, Fernhill and Glenorchy Road and gritting where required.
