Dear friend,

Lexy is one of the friendly faces you’ll see at Preston’s Pantry. She’s been a volunteer for nearly two years. Lexy manages intake, which is collecting basic (or essential) information, like how many people in each household benefit from the food provided by Lift UP. She enjoys meeting new people and making friends, which is why it her favorite volunteer role. She understands the positive impact providing her neighbors with nutritious food has on their lives.

Program Manager Teresa has this to say about Lexy. “Lexy is a vital part of our Thursday Pantry Team. She started out packing food for clients and now she is our intake specialist. She helps us make clients feel welcome as she enters their information into the Oregon Food Bank database. She is always happy to do whatever is needed. In a year and a half Lexy has never missed a Thursday and she is usually the first to arrive. I look forward to working with her for a long time as we grow together.”

Holiday Gift Drive

The holiday season is just around the corner. In lieu of the annual Community Christmas Dinner, we'll be collecting the following items to distribute at Preston's Pantry and in the Delivered Food Boxes in the weeks leading up to the end of the year:

Warm winter socks
Winter hats
Scarves
Hand sanitizer
Hand wipes
Band-Aids
Shampoo
Toothbrushes

All clothing items must be new and unused.
