College seeking volunteers for committees and working groups

The College is still looking for applicants for the Nominations Committee, the committee responsible for qualifying registrants for Board elections.

The Nominations Committee protects the public interest by certifying that the College conducts elections in a fair and transparent manner. 

Further requirements, duties and competencies are listed in the Nominations Committee member position profile. More information about the Nominations Committee can be found in its terms of reference.

To apply, please complete the Volunteer Application form on the College's website by 11:59pm on Monday, June 9, 2025.

In addition, the College is looking for volunteers to help with the planning of its 2026 conference in Victoria.

You can review a listing of terms of reference and position profiles for College working bodies in the College Board, Statutory Committees, and Current Working Bodies document library.

Participation on a committee or other working group with the College can be claimed for continuing professional development (CPD) points.

2025 College Board elections logo

2025 Board election results

Voting in the College’s 2025 Board elections concluded on May 2. The College Registrar verified the results in the presence of the Nominations chair. All candidates have been notified by the Nominations Committee chair. The following registrants have been elected on three-year terms:

VICE CHAIR (Three-year term)
Deborah STANYER, RPBio #1105

BOARD MEMBERS (Three-year term)
Gabrielle HINDLEY, RPBio #3663
Keenan RUDICHUK, RPBio #2930

The registrant elected as the Vice Chair will act as Vice Chair in the first year of their term, as Chair in their second year, and as Past Chair in their third year. All elected registrants began their terms as of the 2025 Annual General Meeting, which took place on May 14.

The College would like to thank all candidates for their interest in serving on the Board and all those registrants who voted in the elections.

Annual Conference 2026 dates announced

The 2026 Annual Conference will take place April 9-10, 2026 at the Hotel Grand Pacific in Victoria. The conference is an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge and to network with colleagues. More details about conference registration and accommodation will be shared on the website and in future issues of College Connections.

From the Government of BC - Members of the newly formed Provincial Forest Advisory Council are tasked with providing recommendations to government on advancing forest stewardship, while supporting communities and workers that rely on forests.  

Premier unveils plan to secure billions in mining investments, build prosperity through partnership, conservation
From the Government of BC - In a speech to the business community, mining industry, First Nations and conservation organizations, Premier David Eby outlined an approach to mining development in the northwest that combines economic growth, reconciliation and conservation to realize an opportunity for tens of billions of dollars in investment and thousands of good paying jobs to support families throughout the province.
