School Holiday Program

We have over 50 free sporting and recreational activities for school-aged children to enjoy over the summer like Jiu Jitsu, Taekwondo, our first ever offering of Line Dancing and more! Registrations open on Wednesday, 8 January at 7pm. Be sure to set a reminder!

Over 55s Leisure & Learning Service

Choose from a wide range of activities like Aqua Aerobics, Yoga, Tai Chi and Line Dancing in Term 1. Registrations open on Monday, 13 January at 9am. The latest schedule will be released soon, so keep an eye out on our webpage!

What's Happening at PHIVE

PHIVE is transforming into a skate rink with skating experiences for tots, teens, skilled rollers, as well as adaptive sessions. So gather your gang and skate your way into the New Year! Prices start from $10.

Men's Health eBook

Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA) have created this resource that aims to guide and encourage men to look after their health. The book covers topics including mental health, diabetes, ageing and much more in relation to exercise and its benefits. 

West Epping Dog Park

The off-leash park, funded by the NSW Government, is designed to keep pooches and their owners fit, healthy and happy with an open grassed area. A fence, water stations, seating and additional trees for shade have been added.

Parramatta Town Hall

The beautiful Parramatta Town Hall in the heart of Parramatta is the ideal hireable space for celebrations, presentations, fundraisers and other events. After an extensive renovation, it is now equipped with state of the art audio visual, lighting and flexible catering arrangements.  . 

Lake Parramatta

Now open for the swim season, enjoy facilities like boat hire, a children's playground, walking trails, picnic facilities, a café , barbecues, public toilets and parking. Lifeguards will be on duty 7 days per week in December and January, and on the weekends throughout February. 

STEAM Workshops 

Explore exciting hands-on workshops at our Libraries! Dive into engaging programs featuring coding classes, robotics, virtual reality (VR), 3D printing, and a variety of science workshops. Don't miss out on the opportunity to spark creativity and innovation in a fun and educational environment.

Active & Creative Kids Vouchers

The NSW Government is offering eligible children vouchers to be redeemed on a range of sport and recreational activities. Voucher 1 must be used prior to the end of the year! Be sure to check eligibility and find a registered provider. 

School Holidays at PAC 

Fast-track your child's confidence and skills in the pool, while fostering active fun at Parramatta Aquatic Centre (PAC). The summer program will be running each week in January for $110 per week, per student. Bookings are now open for students aged 3 - 17 years old. 

Seniors Christmas Party

All seniors are warmly invited to a delightful morning at Riverside Theatres on Thursday, 19 December. Enjoy a special film screening, festive morning tea, and an official greeting from the Lord Mayor. Registrations are essential and will close on Thursday, 15 December!

Jelisa is a sports journalist for 7News Sydney!

Where are you from?
Boorowa in country NSW. 

How long have you been a journalist?
I started as a news journalist intern in 2011 and moved to sport around 2016.

Why do you love your work?
I love how sport brings people together, and no matter where you are from or what language you speak, you can find common ground watching sport. I love to witness some of the biggest events in the world live and be part of the action.

If you could attend any sporting event in the world, what would it be? 
I would love to watch the 100m Olympic sprint live. 

What do you do on your days off?
My job is very social so I usually like to lay low for at least one day and spend time with my partner Nick – usually we’ll go on a drive to a new place or a bush/beach walk.

Sport & Recreation Grant

Up to $2000 is available from our Sport & Recreation Grants for projects that increase participation in local sport and recreation activities. The current round closes on Friday, 7 February. 

Grants for Participating in Sporting Competitions

Up to $1,000 may be awarded for competing  locals via our Representative Sports Grant. For 12 - 18 year olds residing outside of Parramatta, check out Sport Australia's Local Sporting Champions.
