Academy Program to Foster Athlete Development in NSW
Surf Life Saving NSW has announced the establishment of five regional Surf Sport Academies which will seek to underpin future athlete and coach development in NSW in a first-of-its-kind program within the movement.
The Academies will be supported by the NSW Regional Academies of Sport (RASi) network, providing professionalised athlete services and coach development opportunities pertaining to strength and conditioning, sports nutrition, sports psychology, media skills, preparing for performance and injury prevention.
Expressions of interest for both athletes and team managers are now open.

Take 3 for the Sea are relaunching their Take 3 for the Sea Surf Life Saving Club program to empower clubs and their members to take proactive steps to protect our beaches and clean up our oceans.

Call for Officials Nominations: 2024 Country and State Championships
SLSNSW is calling for nominations from accredited officials wishing to attend the 2024 Oakberry Acai NSW Country Championships and/or the 2024 NSW Surf Life Saving Championships.
Nominations close Sunday 8 October for Country Champs and Sunday 15 October for State Champs.

Grants & Fundraising
Grant funding is an ideal way to obtain equipment, infrastructure or program funding for your club. In support of SLSCs in NSW, SLSNSW provides a professional grant service at no fee to NSW SLSCs through the Surf Life Saving Foundation’s Grant Seeking Unit (GSU). The GSU is a national grant research and writing support unit for SLS entities across Australia.

The Surf Life Saving Foundation has made fundraising for Clubs a whole lot easier! Your club can have its own dedicated Lottery web landing page and receive 50% commission on all tickets sold through it. 2023-24 Volunteer Grants
The Australian Government Volunteer Grants 2023-24 program has commenced opening for Expressions Of Interest (EOIs), with closing dates throughout August and September 2023.
This program offers grants of between $1,000 and $5,000 to support the efforts of volunteers.
NSW Office of Sport Surf Club Facility Program
The NSW Office of Sport Surf Club Facility Program is opening soon. The program assists NSW Surf Life Saving clubs to develop facilities that will enable increased facility usage, improve safety and increase participation in Surf Life Saving.
Clubs and Branches looking to apply are encouraged to commence gathering required approvals and documentation ASAP. As soon as the new guidelines are released, we will distribute the details.
