June Newsletter 2022

Dear friend:

You know for months now; our wonderful volunteer team has been preparing the Share Ayurveda Conference for June 24-26 in Vancouver, BC.  Excitement is building for this superb ONLINE or IN-PERSON event.

To me, there’s nothing like being together in the conference hall at the venue: the Jack Poole Hall, Alumni Centre at UBC, and sharing the conversation about Ayurveda as Integrative Medicine. Taking time from our everyday lives to come together and nourish ourselves can broaden our perspective and enthusiasm.

There has been a gap of four years since the first SHARE AYURVEDA CONFERENCE, so this event is an enriching reunion of Ayurvedists thirsty for fellowship, learning and networking together at long last!

PROFESSIONAL FORUM – JUNE 24 1pm-5pm

This event is dedicated to a specialized discussion of the interests of Practitioners, Doctors, Manufacturers, Herbalists, teachers, students, etc. and to help shape the future of Ayurveda in Canada.  This session is in-person with no video recording.

A must attend for all those creating their livelihood with Ayurveda. Come and share your voice at the PROFESSIONAL FORUM on Friday, June 24 at the Boardroom in the Alumni Centre at UBC, for the discussion of the Future of Ayurveda in Canada.  $57.

PRACTITIONER INTRODUCTION
Let me introduce you to Preeti Syal, M.Sc., R.H.N., Ayurveda Lifestyle Consultant.  Here’s her outline:

“Hi, I am a certified Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant from the American Institute of Vedic Studies and a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, graduated from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, Vancouver, BC. I also hold a Master of Science degree in Foods and Nutrition form Delhi University, India.

I aspire to help people restore balance and create wellness in their lives. I believe that most chronic illnesses stem from improper digestion and malnutrition. I am part of the teaching faculty at CSNN, the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, Vancouver Campus, since 2010 where I teach various Nutrition as well as Ayurveda courses. I also host nutrition and advance Ayurveda workshops including cooking demonstrations on various health related topics.”

Here is Preeti’s tip for developing excellent digestion, especially for spring season:

“The most important way to ensure a healthy agni is to eat light, easy-to-digest foods during spring and wait at least three to four hours between meals. Eating at regular intervals with adequate time between meals strengthens the mind and the body.”
