Lois was a proud champion for the Blonder Family Department for Special Needs and Jerry’s Habima Theatre with her late husband Jerry Blonder. Without their generosity and continued support, the incredible programs we run each year would not be possible. She was a loyal friend and partner to the Marcus JCC, our participants, and our entire community. For more information about her life and philanthropic initiatives, you can read her obituary here. This month’s Dinner Club is at Politan Row in Dunwoody, a hip food hall with lots of different restaurants to choose from, so everyone can choose the style they want as we socialize with friends! April VSP Social Group Thurs, Apr 18, 6:30 - 8:00 pm Don’t miss this monthly gathering, where we’ll enjoy a painting party with friends! Meet up at Painting with a Twist for a fun, guided painting session, where we’ll chat, laugh, and create our own masterpieces! This month’s Dinner Club is at everyone’s favorite, Waffle House next to the Georgetown Shopping Center in Dunwoody. May VSP Social Group Thurs, May 23, 6:30 - 8:00 pm Peachtree Farm, 350 Research Court, This month, we will tour Peachtree Farm, which is run by adults with developmental disabilities. Here, they grow crops outside and in a greenhouse, collect eggs, and even have a few beehives! A drink and light snack will be provided. Debra “Debbie” Sonenshine SOAR Sports SOAR Racquet Sports March 26 - May 21 This year, we are combining pickleball and tennis into one SOAR racquet sports program! You will be able to participate in both sports, combining the best of both worlds, and on some days, you’ll get to choose your favorite! SOAR Kickball May 28 - July 30 Come kick it with us and join the SOAR Summer Kickball League! We are excited to be offering another season of this crowd favorite. We will go over the rules and then play some ball! Social Classes Blonder Art Classes March 27 - May 15 Each week, we will express ourselves using a different medium. From drawing to painting to clay, we will work with a colorful variety of tools! This creative class will cumulate in an art show, where parents and friends are welcome to come see what you’ve worked on. Blonder Cooking March 27 - May 15 Learn lifelong skills in the kitchen and some top-secret tricks to cooking! We will practice making several delicious recipes that can be followed at home. We will have the chance to cook and then, of course, eat our meal together!
