26 February 2026

Dear Residents,

The new roundabout at the intersection of Chalmers Road and Barker Road in Strathfield is now complete with the addition of two pedestrian crossings. A variety of green plants have also been planted along the verge, softening the look and adding to the biodiversity of the area. This project is one of the ways Council is responding to community feedback by prioritising safety without compromising on amenity.

We hope you have been enjoying the free outdoor movie screenings this Summer as part of Movies in the Park! The final movie for the 2025-2026 season is Wicked (2024) and will be screened on Saturday 7 March at Strathfield Square. So hop on your broomsticks and cuddle up with Glinda and Elphaba for a movie under the stars.

Finally, Clean Up Australia Day is on this Sunday 1st March! Get involved in Australia’s largest community-based environmental event and help protect our beautiful and unique land. Register your clean up today.

If you need to contact me or have any questions, please do so by emailing me cr.bcai@strathfield.nsw.gov.au or ring our office on 9748 9999.
