Dear Residents,

Thank you to everyone who attended our International Women’s Day Afternoon Tea last Friday! We were so lucky to have Jean Kittson speak about her experiences of being a female comedian in a male-dominated industry and how her respect of feminism was gifted to her through watching her mother.

Last Saturday I popped down to Maria Reserve to say hello and thank you to our dedicated Bushcare Volunteers. It was great to see so many passionate locals who care for our environment, and thank them for the great work they do. Council’s next Bushcare volunteering session will be held at Cooke Park on Saturday 11th April. Register your attendance here.

Council recently installed 3 Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) in our busiest town centres. This came from a Council resolution, after The Heart Foundation hosted a free community information session on how to use AED devices in July 2025. This is part of Council’s Community Wellbeing priority. The AED locations are listed below.

If you need to contact me or have any questions, please do so by emailing me cr.bcai@strathfield.nsw.gov.au or ring our office on 9748 9999.
