New information: 

  • Validate your report to ensure all required fields have been completed. 
 
  • Please complete FAR before meeting with your Division Director. Check with your Division Director or DAS if they would like you to email your report to them in advance as Division Directors may not yet have access to download your report in FAR. Your report should ideally be SUBMITTED within five business days of your meeting with the Chair, if applicable.

Dr. Michael Stickland and Dr. Stephanie Thompson

With the new Precision Human Health Lab, Dr. Michael Stickland (Professor, Division of Pulmonary Medicine) and Dr. Stephanie Thompson (Associate Professor, Division of Nephrology) aim to better understand how exercise can be used as a safe and effective clinical tool to improve exercise tolerance and quality of life for people with multiple chronic diseases. Dr. Vivian Mushahwar
 

Dr. Vivian Mushahwar (Professor, Division of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation) shares expertise and equipment to foster Alberta’s burgeoning health technology industry. Her goal is to support innovative, homegrown technology solutions that make life better for patients. Read Folio.

 

Dr. Monty Ghosh (Assistant Professor, Division of General Internal Medicine) has been monitoring wastewater for a research study and says the use of carfentanyl, a synthetic opioid used in veterinary medicine to tranquilize large animals, rose dramatically in June when drug overdoses in the province spiked. Smoke covers Edmonton for much of the long weekend. Dr. Grace Lam (Assistant Professor, Division of Pulmonary Medicine) says windows and doors should be closed to prevent wildfire smoke from impacting people with lung conditions, seniors and pregnant women who are at greater risk.
