The Feather

Fellow Arrowmen,

I hope your summer has been great thus far! Hopefully you had the chance this summer to come out to either a Monday night meeting or a Thursday night callout ceremony. Furthermore if you were able to be a part of the callout ceremony in any way I extend my thanks.

Upcoming next month we have our summer induction, September 6-8 at Camp Cherokee. We are looking forward to inducting numerous ordeal candidates. Later on in October, specifically the 4-6 we will also be having our fall fellowship. Make sure to spread the word amongst your fellow brothers in your unit!

So if you are looking for an opportunity to get out of the house these next few months please utilize these events. I would challenge every lodge member to attend either our upcoming induction weekend or the fellowship!

Yours In Wimachtendienk,

Grayson Cardwell
Lodge Chief
Tsoiotsi Tsogalii

Our next induction weekend will be the OA Fall Induction, October 6-8, at Cherokee Scout Reservation.

You might be wondering, why do I need to know this? Well, read the information below and you will see!

Be an Elangomat

Everyone in the OA has one thing in common; they all have been through the ordeal process, which means everyone has had an Elangomat to guide them along the way. As always, we need lots of Elangomats, and you can become one!

This year, we have a pre-event training so that everyone is prepared and ready to be an Elangomat. The training will be held on the 25th of August at Cherokee Scout Reservation in the OA lodge from 2:00 pm until finished (approximately 4-5 pm). This training is required to be an Elangomat, so please plan to join us if you haven't already taken this course, You do NOT have to register for this training.

If you would like to serve as an Elangomat for this upcoming Induction, please register using the button below and indicate your interest during the registration process.

Be a Nimat

We are in search of Nimats to assist with the new Brotherhood conversion process during our upcoming Fall Induction and Fall Fellowship events.  If you are interested in assisting at either event, please reach out to either Eyan Wise, Brotherhood Chair, at eyanjwise@gmail.com, or Andrew Houck, Brotherhood Adviser, at officerhouck@gmail.com.

Transition to Brotherhood

After 6 months of service as an Ordeal member and fulfilling certain requirements, a member may take part in the Brotherhood ceremony, which places further emphasis on the ideals of Scouting and the Order. Completion of this ceremony signifies full membership in the Order.

If you are interested in transitioning to Brotherhood during the Fall Induction, please register using the button below and indicate your interest during the registration process.
