TOURISM SENTIMENT INDEX LIVE As borders begin to reopen and as the world confronts the new norm of travel we here at Cook Islands Tourism are pleased to partner with Destination Think. An agency based in Canada, Destination Think’s mission is to bring innovative digital and integrated marketing solutions to the tourism industry. This partnership is to better understand the ‘new’ travellers perceptions and how this shapes their views on international travel and most importantly our destination. This is achieved through the online listening of over 500,000 sources that make up the Tourism Sentiment Index & COVID-19 Crisis index which provides comparative analysis to other destinations. The Tourism Sentiment Index tracks our performance across specific aspects that assess our strengths and challenges which in turn will inform our marketing strategies and tactics. Some of these aspects include access & transportation, safety & destination services. The COVID-19 Crisis Index gives us insight into the emotional state of our target markets and their openness to travel messages. As we learn more about the new traveller we will be able to share insights with you. For more information regarding the indexes please contact the Destination Marketing team on email online@cookislands.gov.ck Below is a snapshot of reports: 130 GRADUATES CELEBRATED IN AITUTAKI Earlier this month Aitutaki celebrated their achievements with a formal presentation of awards at CITTI, Amuri Campus.
