Perfect weather set the stage for a wonderful day on the mountain. Hiking, connecting with our community and nature, and enjoying delicious snacks at each check point highlighted the day.

Family - Teacher Conferences (Virtual)

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held virtually using the Meet-the-Teacher video conference tool (the same as past years) on Monday, October 2nd, through Thursday, October 5th. You will receive an email during the week of September 18th from Sandy Hsia with login information and instructions on how to request an appointment with your student’s teachers and advisor. However your student travels to and from campus, we need to know about it so we get them safely to and from you to us. For each break, we ask that you let Abbi Kennedy, our Travel Coordinator, know about your student's travel arrangements by completing the Travel Day Form. If you are driving your student to and from campus, we need to know this as well. Thank you!
FALL BREAK
October 7th to 15th
For international students for whom traveling home is difficult during the break, there is a supervised excursion on a first-come, first-served basis. Activities will include 3 days and 2 nights in Zion National Park, movies, museums, the Clark Planetarium and more. The total cost for the week is $1,600. THANKSGIVING BREAK
November 18th to 26th
For international students for whom traveling home is difficult during the break, there is a supervised excursion on a first-come, first-served basis. The total cost for the week is $1,600. Space is limited to 20 students who will stay in a vacation rental home for the week near Salt Lake City. Activities will include: - Basketball Games: Utah Jazz Game and Supporting our National Team in a Local Tournament
- City Creek Shops in Downtown Salt Lake City
- Ice Skating
- Movies
- Home Cooked Thanksgiving Dinner
- Go-carts and other recreational opportunities based on the interests of the students.

WELLNESS PERSPECTIVES CLASSES
Wellness Perspectives includes important supplemental topics that are integral to student development and success. Students meet with instructors for 55 minutes in cohorts that rotate every five weeks. Due to the nature of the encouraged conversations among students and their different stages of cognitive and social development, the cohorts are sorted according to students' years in school, with 8th and 9th graders in combined cohorts, 10th graders in their own cohorts, and 11th and 12th graders in combined cohorts.
