PATIENT STORY

From Cramps to Clarity, by Andrew

Neuroendocrine Cancer Site Small Bowel

"They came about once a month, lasting only a day. Annoying, but nothing alarming. But by October, the cramps became more frequent – once a week, lasting two days at a time. That’s when I knew something wasn’t right."

FEATURED FUNDRAISERS

We’re incredibly grateful for our amazing and supportive community. In recent weeks, a remarkable group of runners took to the streets in support of Neuroendocrine Cancer UK — raising awareness, generating vital funds, and paying tribute to their loved ones.

Thank you so much!

Over 70 golfers and 10 helpers came together for The Bruce Family, for a full day of golf, food, and fundraising in memory of Julie, their wonderful mum, raising an incredible £7,665.97.

Rachel took on a 10K, 30-obstacle mud trail run in honour of her amazing mum. Rachel smashed her £500 target, raising £590.00.

Nurse and NET patient advocate Birdie ran both events this year, raising £125.00 while balancing her demanding job administering Lanreotide to NET patients.

After an extraordinary health journey - from NET diagnosis to heart surgery - Rita wanted to give something back. She held a yard sale and craft stall, raising £460.00 and sharing her gratitude for the support and information that helped her through her recovery. 🌷

In memory of their dear friend and colleague Fiona, the team - Ross, Rona, Carol, Fiona, and Sarah - proudly walked together, raising £495.00.

We don’t receive NHS or government funding. We don’t have grants from the larger cancer charities.

We are solely reliant on the generosity of members of our community to fund our ongoing work, to whom we are so grateful.

I'D LIKE TO DONATE TO NEUROENDOCRINE CANCER UK

We look forward to seeing you next month and keeping you in the loop!
