The GoA hopes this strategy will help meet the health care needs of rural Albertans. Leadership in the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry believes strongly in quality health care for all Albertans, including those living in rural and remote areas. As such, a number of enrollment and education strategies exist in the FoMD for both undergraduate and postgraduate medical training to support rural health care. Over the coming weeks, there will be ongoing conversations between the medical students, residents, FoMD education leadership and representatives from the Government of Alberta related to this important issue. Budget 2019, Government of Alberta: The Government of Alberta's Budget 2019 includes a substantial cut to the University of Alberta.
