New Triton Student System (TSS): What Parents and Families Should Know

Dear Triton Parents and Families,

UC San Diego is preparing to launch the Triton Student System (TSS) in July 2026. TSS will replace MyTritonLink and become the university’s new system for key student services such as course enrollment (now called booking in TSS), the Schedule of Classes and student financial information. The purpose of this transition is to modernize our aging infrastructure as part of a larger technology renewal effort. For more information, check out our project vision.

To support you and your student during this transition, this message covers:

  • What parents and families should expect
  • What's changing for students
  • Key dates
  • How you can support your student
  • Where students can get help

We know you play an important role in helping your student navigate their academic journey. We encourage you to review this information and check in with your student about information that may impact their experience.

What Parents and Families Should Expect

This transition is designed to be gradual, and UC San Diego is planning communications carefully to reduce confusion and disruption.

Parents and families may notice:

  • Increased messaging to students in the weeks leading up to the TSS launch in July.
  • A period of adjustment during July and August as the university stabilizes processes and support.

During this time, students may have questions about how to complete tasks in the new system (TSS). UC San Diego will provide support resources to help them navigate changes.

How You Can Support Your Student

Parents and families can help by encouraging students to:
