This initiative aims to create a strong culture of respect within YJFL clubs, creating a positive environment for players, coaches, parents, match officials, and everyone involved in the league. The Yarra Junior Football League (YJFL) is a dedicated junior football league which provides an opportunity for all boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 18 in the east, north and north east regions of Melbourne to play and develop their skills in well structured and organised competitions, and at their own level. All YFJL Clubs will be invited to take part in Club Respect workshops to reflect on their current culture within their organisation, create an action plan to implement upon the conclusion of the workshop. The Club Respect framework incorporates a self-rating tool at the end of each focus area, making it easier for clubs to audit their club culture and identify areas for improvement. YJFL CEO, Aaron Bailey, underlined the importance of this partnership to the YJFL.
