We provide transportation to and from Salt Lake Airport so it's important that you provide us their flight information by completing the Travel Forms. For assistance with travel arrangements, please reach out to Abbi Kennedy, Travel Coordinator.

The college counseling team will meet with students to make introductions and begin conversations about their path to college.

ACT & SAT Prep
Each spring, Wasatch Academy offers 10th and 11th grade students an opportunity to be guided in preparing for the ACT and SAT. This year, there are two options to suit your child’s learning style: online with Revolution Prep and in-person with Brown Reading Systems (BRS). Today we are highlighting the in-person opportunity. Complete information about BRS's program may be found in this letter. Please email Mrs. Austin (mitzi.austin@wasatchacademy.org) by December 15 if you are interested in this option for your student.
WINTER PERFORMING ARTS SHOWCASE
Thursday, December 7th at 7:00pm
Our many talented musicians will perform solos and ensembles on piano, violin, guitar, cello, vocals and more followed by several special pieces performed by our orchestra. MODERN ENSEMBLE CONCERT
Sunday, December 10th at 7:00pm
This year's very talented modern ensemble will hold their own concert to share a number of original songs performed in a venue better suited to the acoustics of the music style. Performing artists include Nate O., Garrett R., Colin S., and Shinpei W., with special guest artists including Sasha M., Oliver O., and Ali R.

Cruz currently holds 9th place in the state in the UHSRA boys' calf cutting event. He took third place last weekend at the UHSRA event here in Mount Pleasant and earned his first belt buckle trophy. Way to ride Cruz!

SUSTAINABILITY COUNCIL ESTABLISHES ETHICS GUIDELINES & A PURPOSEFUL AGENDA
This year's Sustainability Council is very active with an aggressive agenda to accomplish this school year. They will be fundraising to install a new drinking fountain/water station in the Craighead building and completing the construction of a greenhouse including establishing a community garden within. In addition, they intend to present to the Mount Pleasant City Council to improve recycling options both on campus and in the community. The Council's student officers include:

SPRING BREAK FOR
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort
March 1st - 11th, 2024
International students who find traveling home difficult during the break, there is a supervised excursion on a first-come, first-served basis. The total cost for the week is $1,500. Food, lodging, and transportation are included.
This adventure includes hiking, horseback riding, canyoneering, climbing, mini-golf, paintball, and more.

MORE FROM COLLEGE COUNSELING
SPRING College TOURS!
Tentative Dates: April 21st - 24th, 2024
We are excited to offer a college tour in the San Diego area. The student group will tour with Pathways Travel for a trip that will be experiential, educational, and fun. Last year’s trip with Pathways was great!
We will tour different types of colleges and universities, from liberal arts to large public research programs. We are considering at least 3 of the following 5 schools:
California State University, San Marcos
San Diego State University
University of California, San Diego
University of San Diego
Point Loma Nazarene University
The trip is limited to 14 students (10th and 11th graders) at a total cost of $1,700. This includes lodging, ground transportation, food, college tours, and an excursion for fun. It does not include airfare. The deposit of $850 is due by January 15. Payment will be made through the business office. More information will be available after sign-ups. The remaining balance of $850 (plus the cost of airfare) will be due by February 15th.

Saturday, May 18th, 11:00am - 12:00 noon: Commencement followed by a luncheon in the Student Commons
Congratulate your class of 2024 student with traditional graduation items such as announcements, class rings, letter jackets, and more. We are partnered with Jostens' for these items as well as for our yearbook. Please place your orders by December 15, 2023 at this website dedicated to Wasatch Academy.
