Junior School NoticesTERM 4 WEEK 7Dear valued member of the PLC community, Pre-Primary Nativity
What a very special performance based on the Mem Fox story, Wombat Devine, was presented to the community by our Pre-Primary students. The children recreated the story so beautifully, and I am sure that many tears quietly welled up as the children shared this story around resilience and the Nativity story. Thank you to everyone involved in the dramatization of this delightful Australian book. Community CarolsOn Sunday, we celebrated our second annual Community Carols event on the Quad. It was once again a resounding success with much Christmas merriment and cheer. All the students played and sang beautifully, and they were joined by an enthusiastic congregation who sang with great gusto! The Parent Community Choir was the surprise event of the evening, and many girl's faces lit up as they saw their mums hit the stage and sing 'Santa Claus is Coming to Town' and 'Jingle Bell Rock'. Meredith Beer Rev Nalin's ReflectionsNovember has been a busy time in the diaries of Australian and international political leaders with the COP 27 Climate Change Conference in Egypt, the East Asia Summit in Cambodia, the G20 Meeting of world leaders in Indonesia, with some degree of thawing in the Australia-China relationship, and finally, the APEC Economic Leaders’ Summit in Thailand. Australia was very much in the world spotlight and generally speaking, commentators have been complimentary of the Government’s contribution to international debate.
