Dear Residents, The next couple of days mark important events in the Strathfield Council calendar. The Battle of Kapyong Memorial Service is being held tomorrow at 11am at Ismay Reserve, Homebush. This year marks the 75th Anniversary of this important battle in which Australians fought to protect Gapyeong (Strathfield Council’s Sister City) and Seoul from invasion. All welcome to join us on this auspicious occasion, which is hosted by Cumberland RSL Sub-branch in partnership with Strathfield Council. A sure sign that the cooler weather is on the way, is the conversion of sporting fields from summer sports to winter sports! Council staff have been installing nets and line marking ready for the soccer and footy seasons. Check out our Facebook or Instagram to see how line marking is completed with the help of our little robo-friend.
