Spring has sprung and School Holidays are on the mind...

Spring is finally here (well almost!), and we couldn't be happier.

Our Spring Guide highlights the programs and events that we are holding throughout September to November at Connected Libraries. Look out for adult and senior programs, Local History offerings, plus competitions and Halloween celebrations.

School Holidays are on the horizon so if you are looking for FREE and FUN activities put
Monday 4 September in your diary now, bookings open at 9am.

From Friday 1 September all libraries are back to normal operating hours, check out our website for more information (hours will be updated from Friday 1 September).

There's something for everyone, so be sure to visit the library this spring.

What's On in Spring

As part of our Spring Program we also have plenty on offer for adults, teens, kids and babies.

Here is just a taste of what is on offer:

Watercolour Art Therapy - Visit Endeavour Hills Library  where you will create a watercolour Tree of Life in this hands-on art therapy workshop. No experience necessary, all materials supplied. 

Brain Training and Afternoon Tea for Seniors-Join us for afternoon tea at Doveton Library or Cranbourne Library and discover new brain training apps that keep your brain fit and active. Devices provided. 

Accessing Affordable Housing- An information session at Bunjil Place or Hampton Park Library on how older people experiencing housing stress can access long-term, affordable housing. This session covers current housing trends, risk factors for homelessness, how older women are adversely affected, and how HAAG’s services can provide support.

Chalk Pastel Painting- Learn to use chalk pastels in this hands-on workshop. No experience necessary, all materials supplied. This event is at Bunjil Place Library.

All events are FREE but require bookings so don't delay, book your spot today.

School Holiday Program

School Holidays are on the horizon so if you are looking for FREE and FUN activities put

We have events happening at all 5 libraries, including:

These events book out quickly so please be ready to book on Monday 4 September to avoid disappointment. 

Judy Nunn Author Visit

Join us for an evening with one of Australia's most successful authors and all round superstar, Judy Nunn, and celebrate her latest historical blockbuster novel, 'Black Sheep'.

'Black Sheep' is a sweeping historical novel about a prosperous sheep-farming family and the enigmatic young man with a dark past they let into their lives.

Orphaned at sixteen, James Wakefield was determined to be a gun shearer like his father. Now he’s killed twice, changed his name, and is on the run from the law. He had his reasons for both murders, and he felt no joy in taking life … Or did he?

From the Shearing Wars of Queensland to the close colonial community of Goulburn, to the trenches of the Western Front, Judy Nunn once again brings Australian history vividly to life.

After the event, Judy will be signing copies of 'Black Sheep', which will be available for purchase on the night.
