Strathfield eNews No images? Click here 17 November 2022Cr Matthew Blackmore, Mayor of Strathfield Last week was a big week here at Strathfield Council! On Thursday I attended the 2022 Local Government Parking Summit and had the opportunity to be one of their speakers. This event was a good opportunity to discuss solutions for the increasingly complex and challenging parking problems facing local government. Parking is a concern residents often raise with me, and I hope to have some solutions soon. Council is continuing with its audit of community assets and planning their maintenance into the future. Infrastructure such as roads, footpaths and community buildings are vital for locals, and as such Council is leaving no stone unturned in protecting them for future generations. This will include closing previously developed funding gaps with a variety of methods. Council will have more information to share on this soon, so please keep an eye on this eNews. On a festive note, we have installed a number of new and exciting Christmas decorations at Strathfield Square. I encourage you to visit, take some photos, and don't forget to tag us on social media! P.S don't forget to save the date for Christmas Carols on 3 December! If you need help with any local issues, please feel free to contact me at 0406 099 048 or cr.mblackmore@strathfield.nsw.gov.au.
