Teens Think Quick in Surf AccidentAn incredible exhibition of composure and bravery in difficult circumstances has seen a potentially awful accident become a shining example of Nipper education after a young Newport SLSC member was rescued during a club training session. Racing NSW - Golden EagleSLSNSW has been selected as the charity partner for one of the runners in this year’s Golden Eagle, Maximal (GB), trained by John O’Shea. The Golden Eagle takes flight at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday. Australia’s third richest race brings together the best four-year-olds in the country and a portion of the prizemoney is being donated to the winner’s charity of choice. NSW Office of Sport Surf Club Facility ProgramThe Office of Sport is yet to release the timing of the funding program, however we anticipate the closing date to be well before the Christmas period. We therefore recommend you commence gathering the required attachments, discuss your project with Council and make contact with the Grant Seeking Unit to ensure you are ready to lodge an application within the advertised timeframes. SLSA Planned System Upgrade – Full OutageOn Tuesday, 2 November 2021 a major IT System upgrade will be occurring. The National ICT Unit will be migrating all systems to a new Cloud Service Provider. All SLSA Online systems will be down from Tue, 2 November 2021 at 8.00pm AEDST to Wed, 3 November 2021 at 6.00am AEDST. If you have any questions about the outage please contact the IT Helpdesk.
