As the world is about to turn the page on this challenging year 2021, we wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for the support and love that allowed us to keep our focus, our drive. We are also beyond happy to say that the team has grown and our Berlin office is expanding.

Adding to the existing 7 fonts we had the pleasure to develop for Sky Sports in 2018, here is the titling font for their new channel dedicated to boxing. This typeface was designed under the art direction of Nomad and Big Foot.

For the branding of London fashion designer Sinéad O’Dwyer, design agency Greenspace sketched a wordmark based on Suisse Int’l Condensed typeface. In collaboration with them, we consequently designed a custom typeface inspired by ever changing body form and the materials Sinéad works with daily, such as silicone casting. The alternate characters in the face are very organic, and always fluctuating.

2021 was an eventful year for everyone. At Swiss Typefaces, we made the most of this time between lockdowns and PCR tests by focusing on developing our vision and our practice. New fonts, experiments with the Variable Fonts format, updates on our licensing and pricing systems… Nothing hasn’t been reviewed and improved! We are very excited to reveal many of those novelties throughout 2022!

We recently celebrated the first anniversary of our Berlin office. After this full year, the Graue Stadt people were finally able to gather in person with the rest of the team in Vevey. What a joy to get together around a fondue to prepare the future of Swiss Typefaces!
