No images? Click here Starting Feb. 17, you will be responsible for managing academic requirement cohorts in Workday for the program(s) of study you support. This is a different, but very similar, task as managing advising cohorts. As part of the transition to Workday Student, academic requirements have been configured in the system and will be applied to a student’s record based on their program of study (major, minor, etc.) Academic requirements include anything a student must do to complete their program(s) of study and graduate from the university, e.g., courses, number of credit hours, grades, GPA, etc. Academic requirements cohorts have also been set up in Workday. These will be used to manage academic requirements that apply to different groups of students in the same program, such as tracks. Starting Feb. 17, begin using these instructions to view your assigned academic requirement cohorts and add or remove students, as needed. Students in your cohorts are based on information provided last year, typically by school registrars. If you are also responsible for managing advising cohorts, the instructions above may look familiar because the process is the same to add or remove students from academic requirement cohorts. Information covered during the instructor-led training on advising cohort management is also applicable to academic requirement cohorts, except the parts about assigning advisors. IMPORTANT: If you were not previously invited to register for an instructor-led training session on cohort management, we invite you to register now, following the instructions in this email. While some of the advising-specific content won’t be directly relevant, this training session will teach you how to add and remove students from cohorts; give you access to a test environment where you can practice; and provide an in-person classroom experience where you can ask questions and meet other staff performing similar tasks in Workday. Thank you for your patience and participation during this major transition from our legacy student information systems to Workday. If you have any questions or need help with anything related to Workday Student, please join us for office hours, submit a ticket, or call 314-935-WDAY (9329). |
