More ![]() Passionate Preceptors: Christopher FungDr. Christopher Fung is an assistant clinical professor and radiologist at the University of Alberta Hospital, Royal Alexandra Hospital, Grey Nuns Hospital and occasionally the Sturgeon Community Hospital, where he incorporates his enthusiasm for teaching into his medical practice. Scott Library’s New Head, Faculty EngagementWe are pleased to announce that Connie Winther has accepted the position of Head, Faculty Engagement at the John W. Scott Health Science Library, beginning October 21, 2019. She will be taking over from Interim Library Head, Linda Slater, who retired from University of Alberta Libraries on September 30. We wish Linda all the best in the next chapter of her life. Connie is coming to the Scott Library from Alberta Health Services where she has been the Team Lead and Librarian for Knowledge Resource Services since 2013. She was previously the Library Manager at Covenant Health and has also worked at the University of Alberta in the Department of Pediatrics, and in the Faculty of Nursing as an embedded Librarian. Connie has a Masters of Science (Rehabilitation) from Curtin University in Western Australia, as well as a Masters of Library and Information Studies from the University of Alberta and a Postgraduate Certificate in Library Sector Leadership from the University of Victoria. ![]() McCalla Professorships 2020-21The Office of Education, FoMD is now accepting proposal submissions for the 2020-21 McCalla Professorships. FoMD has been allocated one award for this cycle, and the deadline for submissions is January 31, 2020.
