Get on board for the green and gold runway to Brisbane 2032

Get on board for the green and gold runway to Brisbane 2032

We want your help to develop the Brisbane 2032 Legacy Plan, so get on board the green and gold runway to Brisbane 2032 and have your say on how we make the most of the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Plans are now underway to ensure Brisbane 2032 is a Games for all Queenslanders.

The Brisbane 2032 Legacy Plan will define how we take advantage of the Olympic and Paralympic Games to drive opportunities that ensure lasting benefits for Queensland and Australia over the next 20 years – 10 years to the Games and 10 years after.

So, what do you want to see achieved while hosting Brisbane 2032?

All Gold Coast, Brisbane and Australian residents are invited to have their say by sharing a message for the Legacy Forum delegates about their hopes and dreams for 2032 and beyond.

Having a Christmas clean up?

Having a Christmas clean up?

Good news! The City’s waste and recycling centres are open every day excluding Christmas Day.

To avoid long queues and congestion, be sure to visit your nearest waste and recycling centre outside of peak times including 10am to 2pm daily, weekends and public holidays.

As always, remember to sort your waste and recycling before you arrive and please put anger away: violence and aggression are never okay.

Household waste, recycling and green organics bins will be collected as usual by the City’s kerbside collection services over the Christmas-New Year period including public holidays and Christmas Day.

Collection times may be earlier than usual so please put your bins out the night before. You can check your bin day via our website or the City App.
