The FLC is a standing committee in the FoMD that encompasses members with expertise in education from across the Faculty. Here are just a few of our committee members after our September monthly meeting. ![]() I am pleased to share on behalf of Dr. Mia Lang, Associate Dean, Faculty Development and Renny Khan, Director of International Programs, that the week of October 22, 2018, the FoMD will welcome a delegation of 31 faculty from Jilin University here to learn more about our UME Curriculum, to observe various UME teaching activities, and participate in several faculty development sessions centered around teaching skills. This cohort is the first of several from Jilin University that will be visiting FoMD over the next three years to learn more about how to develop teaching excellence. Please save the date and join us in celebrating our medical student researchers! Medical Laboratory ScienceOn September 26, the Medical Laboratory Students' Association (MLSA) kicked off their wellness program. The event was funded by a successful grant application through the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science—one of only four grants awarded across Canada!
