Updates from the Northern Alberta Medical Program
An Important Partnership
The Northern Alberta Medical Program (NAMP) represents a transformative step in expanding medical education in northern Alberta. At Northwestern Polytechnic, we are proud to partner with the University of Alberta to deliver this program, ensuring that students in our region have access to unparalleled education, resources and learning environments.
This collaboration highlights our shared commitment to addressing the healthcare needs of rural and northern communities. NWP is dedicated to supporting NAMP student success with state-of-the-art facilities, simulation spaces, foundational undergraduate programs, and student services, all while maintaining and promoting a strong connection to the region. We value the University of Alberta’s leadership in medical education and are grateful for the opportunity to strengthen both institutions and serve our communities together.
We look forward to the exciting opportunities ahead and are deeply appreciative of the collaboration that has made NAMP possible. Through our strong ties to the North and years of partnership, NWP and the University of Alberta are working to build a future where medical students have the chance to stay and practice in the communities that need them most.

The NAMP would not be possible without the tremendous partnership opportunities that NWP provides. Join the NAMP team for monthly coffee and updates
Join us every third Friday at 7:30 a.m. for updates on the program, including upcoming faculty/staff positions.
When: Mar 21, 2025 | 7:30–8:30 a.m. (Next month: cancelled due to Good Friday).
Where: Grande Prairie Regional Hospital, 150340 Diagnostic Imaging (Unit 15), Conf Rm A
