February 3 Schedule Update

Dear Valued Customer/Community Member,

The Mount Rainier Pool will be updating its schedule, effective Monday, February 3. Click here to view the new schedule.

SPRING CLOSURE DELAY

We are still working out contractual items with our KCYAS grant projects, so we are delaying the projects to later this Spring/Summer. Any changes will communicated through our website, social media and email notification system.

SWIM LESSON UPDATE

We are working to put out a swim lesson update sometime next week. This will include moving up the next set of swim lessons.

UPDATED BANNER

The schedule above reflects the normal schedule without conflicts. The pool does host occasional rentals, reduced lanes and maintenance items that may affect your visit, but not close the pool down. These changes will be updated on our new banner ad that appears on all pages and on our schedule page.

NEXT SCHEDULED UPDATE

The next schedule update is for March 9, 2025. We will send an update out once we get closer to implementing this schedule.

KIDS SWIM FREE

Effective Saturday, February 1, all children (ages 0-18) will be able to swim for free at the Mount Rainier Pool. An email was sent out on Friday, January 31.

INCLEMENT WEATHER PROCESS

Over the next week there is a chance of a trace of snow, but you can never be too prepared.

As many of you follow us by email blast, social media or our website, we try to communicate changes in the schedule the best we can.

First, we follow the Highline School District’s policies on weather. If there is a late start or closure due to weather, we will follow the same process.

Second, besides the email notification system and social media (Facebook/X), this year we added a new pop-up screen on our website’s main page. We try to update this anytime there is an emergency closure.

Third, if weather conditions change throughout a day, we may elect to cancel evening programming and/or close early for the safety of our patrons and staff. If Highline School District cancels evening activities, we will follow their lead. If this occurs and no update has been made please give us a call at (206) 824-4722.

TRANSLATION AVAILABLE

The Mount Rainier Pool website is now translatable to over 200 languages.

The translation is available for both the website and registration portal.

We are still working on translating PDF's and will work to keep you updated on any and all changes.
