I am excited to announce that Homebush Vibes will be returning this year as part of our 140 Year Anniversary celebrations! Head over to Rochester St, Homebush on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 June for delicious local treats, live music, roving entertainment and more!

Don’t forget to pencil in my upcoming Mayoral Street Meetings in May to discuss matters that are important to you. I’ll be outside Flemington Train Station on Thursday 8 May 2025 from 6pm – 8pm and outside Homebush Public School (at the corner of Rochester and Burlington) on Saturday 10 May 2025 from 11:30am – 2pm.

Strathfield Select Parking Permits are now enforced 🚗

Council has implemented a new parking scheme to ensure fair and easy access to shopping areas and amenities. Residents can register for Strathfield Select parking permits that provide up to 2 free hours of parking per day at eligible locations, however, time restrictions still apply so please be sure to check the signs.

This new scheme will be enforced at the following locations from today, 1 May 2025:

  • Mason and Bressington Park car parks
  • Homebush West Town Centre car park
  • Strathfield Town Centre car park

We invite the community to join us at our upcoming Bushcare volunteering session!

Cooks River Fun Run Returns for 2025! 🏃

Tighten your laces runners! Strathfield’s much loved active living event the Cooks River Fun Run is returning after a two year break on Sunday 22 June 2025!

The Cooks River Fun run returns under new management by RaceHub Australia with support by Strathfield Council.

Participants can choose from a number of categories including: a 2km Family Dash, 5km run and 10km run, ensuring there is something for all levels of ability!

EOI Open – Hudson Park Driving Range Pro Shop ⛳

Strathfield Council is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the lease, development, and operation of the Hudson Park Driving Range Pro Shop. 

We’re seeking a qualified and visionary operator to transform the Pro Shop and elevate the overall experience into a high-quality golf and entertainment offering with broad community appeal.

Tenders will be accepted up until 4.00pm on 16 May 2025.

Strathfield Council Library & Innovation Hub offers free technology classes for seniors in Mandarin language. Learn and build your digital skills. Topics will include use of smartphones and computers.

Bookings are essential as there are very limited spaces available.

Priority will go to residents within the Strathfield LGA.
