PROOF OF VACCINATION DIRECTIONS (NO 2)

UPDATE FOR SMALL INDEPENDENT MUSEUMS AND GALLERIES

To Chamber Members, Partners and Valued Stakeholders

Thank you to everyone who has been in touch in the past few days seeking clarity on the government’s Proof of Vaccination Directions (No 2).

We have spoken to the Department of Culture and the Arts who have advised that independent (i.e., not Government or Local Government led) smaller galleries and museums that do not operate cafes, bars or host live events DO NOT require to see proof of vaccination. Only the museums or galleries specifically named in the Directions require this.

We hasten to add, that it is important that venues and arts and cultural operators read the Directions carefully and consider whether your operation falls under the definition of a “Indoor entertainment venue of any other kind” as defined in the Directions.
