You can also find information about free live streamed presentations, upcoming topics and dates, and a toolkit resource to help promote these free presentations to members of your community. Support for victims of CybercrimeIn today’s digital age, the threat of identity theft, fraud and cybercrime is ever-present. Understanding how to respond to these attacks is as challenging as it is crucial. This is where IDCARE, Australia and New Zealand’s national identity and cyber support service, provides invaluable free assistance. IDCARE is a not-for-profit charity dedicated to helping individuals and organisations manage and recover from identity theft, fraud and cybercrime for free. If you or someone close to you suspects they have been a victim of cybercrime you can contact IDCARE at 1800 595 160 or via an online form. Call for nominations - help drive positive change!Nominations are open to join the Games Venue and Legacy Delivery Authority Accessibility and Inclusion Program Advisory Group. The Advisory Group will help drive some of Queensland’s biggest ever improvements in accessibility and inclusion, focusing on projects related to the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. This diverse advisory group will be made up of passionate individuals with lived experience of disability and membership of one or more disability groups. When: 3rd Tuesday of each month, 10am Grief, Loss and Dementia - For Family CarersThis program runs over 2 sessions, and provides an overview of the grief, loss and emotional impact of the changes caused by dementia. It provides information about the kinds of change and loss experienced with dementia, the ways people may experience and express their grief, and emotional coping strategies for family carers of someone living with dementia. When: Tuesday 22 and Wednesday 23 October, 9:30am to 2:30pm both days External Funding OpportunitiesApplications are now open for The Australian Multicultural Foundation’s Carla Zampatti Scholarship for Young Women. A Scholarship to the value of $10,000 is being offered to support a venture, project or activity that will help young women achieve their aspirations and goals. The Scholarship supports young women from new and emerging culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds to achieve their aspirations and goals in life where there may be barriers or disadvantages to achieving these goals. Whether you may want to start your own business or social enterprise, pay your fees for a study program or launch your own art exhibition, you are encouraged to apply. Applications close: 5pm Friday 25 October 2024 Strengthening Multicultural Queensland program Multicultural Affairs Queensland (MAQ) administers the SMQ program as an annual, open competitive grants program to provide funding towards multicultural projects and events that engage culturally and linguistically diverse communities, groups and individuals, and the broader community, to partner and contribute to building an inclusive, harmonious and united Queensland. The 2024-25 funding round for multicultural projects is now open. Eligible applicants can apply for one-off funding of up to $100,000 for projects to be delivered from 1 July 2025 across a two-year period to 30 June 2027. Applications close: 11:59pm, Tuesday 12 November 2024 Registration of Interest (ROI) are now open for Round 6 of the Business Basics Grants Program administered by the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training (DESBT). The Business Basics grants program provides support to businesses to increase core skills and adopt best practice. This round of Business Basics is focused on business enhancement. Applicants can apply for $7500 in funding for grant funded activities under the following priorities:
