To My Fellow Arrowmen, I hope you all had a safe and spooky Halloween! Fall is by far my favorite season; the trees look so pretty, the mosquitoes go away… though I am not a fan of it getting so dark so early! Over the past few weekends, our lodge gave back in service at our Cub Howl-O-Ree, contributing 694.5 hours of service to this event. Special thanks to those involved with service for those weekends! We have a few more obligations to complete as the year comes to a close. Our annual Stew Fundraiser needs staff! These staffing slots are needed for Friday, November 14th (and Thursday the 13th for those over 18) in the morning, afternoon, and evening. This fundraiser gives us a huge portion of our lodge funds, so I would highly encourage you all to not only staff this event, but to also buy and sell stew yourselves! Additionally, the AOL Trailhead will be happening this same weekend through Saturday and, again, could always use you all’s service! This has been an incredible year for our lodge, so let’s continue and finish out strong! “Fifteen blazes led you to us, but the trail that you have followed becomes rougher, steeper, fainter: you will need a brighter fire!” ~Nutiket Yours in Brotherhood, Aubreigh McPhail
WHAT IS ARROW OF LIGHT: TRAILHEAD? The purpose of Arrow of Light: Trailhead is to encourage current Arrow of Light Scouts to transition to a Scouts BSA troop during the January-February 2026 period. Our Lodge will help provide Arrow of Light Scouts with experiences they could not do as Cub Scouts and whet their appetites for what they can do as Scouts BSA. This event is from 5:00 PM Friday, November 14th to 4:30 PM Saturday, November 15th. A floating Staff Dinner is provided between 5-7 PM Friday. There is no charge for Staff Participants. Please click the button below to register for either: Eyan Wise, Lodge Vice Chief of Service - eyanjwise@gmail.com Registration Closes: 11-11-2025 11:59 PM
Keeping your membership current is important to the Order of the Arrow at both the local and national levels. Your annual membership helps support Lodge programs that carry on the traditions of camping, service, fellowship, and leadership that we have developed for many years. Maintaining your membership also helps you stay informed about Lodge events and opportunities throughout the upcoming year that you don’t want to miss. Don’t forget that you must be a registered member of a scout unit in order to stay active in the Order of the Arrow.
